Art - Mrs. Kimble
Welcome to the Art Department
at Northeast Elementary
Our “helper” artists this year are:
Paul Klee,
 Henri Matisse,
Edger Degas, &
Georges Seurat.
The "art links" page has many wonderful sites you can
check out and learn more about art, while having fun!
My Class
Every Northeast student has art each week. Kindergarten through fifth grade has a 50 minute class in the art room.  Lessons cover the North Carolina Arts Education Essential Standards and are hands on learning.

As the art teacher, Mrs. Kimble is certified to teach K-12 art and holds a BFA Degree in Art Education from the School of Art and Design at East Carolina University.

Mrs. Kimble has taught art at Northeast since it opened in 1991. She has also taught at Meadow Lane Elementary, CB Aycock High School, Belfast Elementary and Nahunta Elementary.

4th Grade

Throughout the school year I will take student work to many locations for display. We hang work continuously at BB&T in Fremont, Wayne Regional Fair, Berkeley Mall, in various contests, Twitter and at the Wayne County Schools Front Office on Royal Ave. If your child’s work is ever hung  away from our school, I will send you a letter so you can take your child by to see their work.

Our goal is to encourage and love your child here at Northeast, and displaying their work for all to see is one of the many ways we can do this!
