Our Assistant Principal-Nicole Carter


Ms. Carter is a product of Wayne County Public Schools. Upon graduating from Eastern Wayne High School, she attended Methodist College where she received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education. Additionally, she later attended East Carolina University to obtain a Master's degree in school administration and certification in curriculum and instruction. Ms. Carter was raised in Wayne County and has served Wayne County Public Schools in various capacities for the past 20 years. She began her career in 1997 as a teacher at Rosewood Elementary where she taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade. In 2007, she moved to a district level position as a Teaching and Learning Coach to train and support beginning elementary teachers throughout the district. In 2009, she went to Meadow Lane Elementary as the Curriculum Facilitator and served students in grades K-4 through small group intervention instruction. She also served in various leadership roles such as school test coordinator, Multi-Tiered System of Support Facilitator, Instructional Coach, and Summer Reading Camp Coordinator.
