From the Desk of Our Curriculum Specialist

My name is Nicole Carter, and I am very excited to join the Northeast Elementary family. I look forward to serving the staff, students, parents, and community. I was raised here in Wayne County and have served Wayne County Public Schools in various capacities for the past 19 years. I began my career in 1997 as a teacher at Rosewood Elementary where I taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade. In 2007, I moved to a district level position as a Teaching and Learning Coach to train and support beginning elementary teachers throughout the district. In 2009, I moved to Meadow Lane Elementary as the Curriculum Facilitator and served students in grades K-4 through small group intervention instruction. I also served in various leadership roles such as school test coordinator, Multi-Tiered System of Support Facilitator, Instructional Coach, and Summer Reading Camp Coordinator.

It is my belief that each and every student can learn, grow, and find success with the right approach and environment. I am committed to working alongside the staff of Northeast Elementary to meet the individual needs of each and every student. I look forward to seeing all of our little eagles soar to great heights.

Warm Regards,
Nicole Carter
